Hello Select-Surf Members

Thankfully I think we have finally fixed the E-gold hacker problem, we had someone working on the script last night and we haven’t had any problems since so fingers crossed this issue is now over. The person doing the edits also found that the scripts also have some other holes in and now these have been fixed too.

Every ones E-gold ID should be correct now if it isn’t and I have missed it please submit a support ticket on the site so that I can sort it out.

As you know we are going to be moving servers to give us a more secure site where we have our own server and also extra protection like DDOS and SSL. The server was finished today and I was planning to start the move tonight however as I am not going to be at home all day tomorrow I am going to start the move on Thursday Morning. This is because I need to be around all day while we move to ensure it all goes smoothly and also to ensure that everyone who can’t surf gets paid. The main problem is that where we are moving servers the domain and IP for the site have to update to the new server and this takes time to happen and depending on where you live it may happen faster or slower as it is down to when you ISP clears their cache and updates with the new name servers and IP’s. So some people may be able to access the site after a few hours others may not be able to access for 24 hrs or more, this is completely out of our control but we will make sure you get paid for any missed days.

During the move we wont be able to email you or anything so we will be using MMG forum as our main update centre so please visit their regularly to stay up to date with how the move is going this will be our only point of communication as the support and forum will also be down.

So the plan is that on Thursday morning I will take down access to the site and make all pending cash out requests. Then once I have completed that we will begin the move over to the new server.

Now I have to stop everyone accessing the site for a very important reason, once we have made the final backup of the Database’s we can not allow anyone to buy upgrades or surf as it will not show when we get everything onto the new server, so it is easier and safer to just stop everything while we move until we re-open.

So please don’t start worrying on Thursday that you cant access site or you cant login. You will just have to be patient while we get everything finished.

I will update you once again tomorrow with any extra info you may need and details of the exact time that the site will shut.

I would also like to thank everyone for your hard work and support to our site we are growing at a wonderful rate and are definitely getting noticed in many forums and monitors everywhere. I think we have a fantastic team of members with us and I hope you are also enjoying our dedication to you.
